Genesis

Founded by a team of interdisciplinary and multi-talented professionals of public standing,  in 1994;  Pioneered solutions to various issues,  such as, illiteracy,  poverty, exploitation, poor  skills, ill-health  and its impact on the public and the community, in Mehaboobnagar district.  
Concerned with the growing severity of losses, prevention of exploitation and people being forced into, or, induced into migration; The subsequent  loss on natural resources is huge, that the team members revolved varied solutions under the following domains: – 
Education & Literacy, Women’s Development & Empowerment,  health,  livelihood and  rights of differently abled people.  
Objectives of ‘CREDOC’ are:

  • To Extend economic and social services to strengthen and enhance the education and empowerment of rural poor.
  • To Build capabilities among the rural poor.
  • To Improve access to services, facilities, and entitlements for rural poor.
  • To Facilitate the building of participatory, self-managed attitudes among rural poor and the disadvantaged as vehicles of their self-reliance, socio-economic progress, and self-respect.
  • To Serve as a resource centre for training, research and study upon the socio-economic conditions of rural poor.
  • To Initiate programs and projects for sustainable development of rural poor and the girl children and women and facilitate the convergence of services and facilities intended for their benefit.
  • To Provide a platform for advocacy upon issues and the concerns of the rural poor.

Programs

The following domains of intervention were identified for intensive focus and facilitate sustainable development among the target groups.  

Education is a proven tool to overcome illiteracy and poverty and also an invisible medium of transformation and improve the standards of living. CREDOC team  launched a system of educating the vulnerable and those below poverty line. Special attention are being given to rural  and remote areas and enabled the children to complete Matric & Post Matric levels of education. 

CREDOC was able to mentor 750 girls students of 10 mandals out of which 350 girl students have been enabled to complete their post matric education and have joined degree course education.

Areas of intervention  and beneficiaries

Kosgi mandal has  397 students in classes 10, 11 and 12., 

Maddur Mandal has  351 students of classes 10, 11 and 12. Govt schools  

Mehaboob nagar mandal has 237 govt school students and teachers.
